Certified Forest Therapy Guide in Cary, NC Rebecca Sanda

Meet Your Certified Guide

Hello!

My name is Rebecca Sanda. A few years ago, I read an article about shinrin-yoku, or the Japanese practice of Forest Bathing, and it sparked my curiosity.

When I took a sabbatical from my high-stress career, I pursued my interest by training with the Forest Therapy Hub in Scotland. What essentially began as a vacation turned into a passion, fueled by the feedback I received during my practical field work.

People experiencing all kinds of stress triggers - such as menopause, divorce, addiction, the demands of a young family, and more - shared they felt intense relaxation and, often, uncovered a new perspective.

I now offer walks in the Cary area so others can get to know this simple, yet effective, practice.

I hope you will join me!

What to Bring

In order to be fully present on a walk it is important that you are comfortable. Please arrive on time with:

  • Closed-toed shoes and long pants, as we will go off trail

  • A small bottle of water

  • Something to sit on, like a towel or sarong

  • Bug spray. This is highly recommended for your safety as we have ticks and chiggers in our area.
